  • Through participatory and robust sessions, partners were able to deepen connections with one another across borders and struggles, share learnings, strategies and approaches from their work and build solidarity in action.
  • In May, AWDF convened 34 new funded partners including women’s rights organisations, feminist collectives and individual activists that face compounded challenges in their various contexts including (but not limited to) ongoing war, authoritarianism, militarisation, gender-based violence, economic disenfranchisement, climate catastrophe, anti-rights/anti-gender backlash as well as other interconnected systems of violence and oppression.
  • We are one. We are together. We are one! Exclaimed a group of African Feminists who formed part of AWDF’s new funded partners onboarding forum; a safe space created with the intention of enhancing our individual and collective capacities to advance gender justice through cross-learning, networking and movement building.
