A woman walks past Gladys Frank's vending stall in Area 21 in Lilongwe, Malawi. Frank's land was taken away from her by other family members who discriminated her because of her disability, but through help from Malawi Human Rights for Women and Girls with Disabilities (MHRWD), she managed to get back the plot left to her by her parents. Frank also recieved training on how to run a small business from the MHRWD. The organization is a grantee of the African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) and MHRWD run a variety of programs to advocate for the rights and empowerment of women with disabilities in Malawi.
