Lucy Banda 28, runs a small vending stall in Lilongwe, Malawi with the help of her husband Lawrence. Banda was married at early age but the marriage faced problems because of no income in the home. Through help from the Malawi Human Rights for Women and Girls with Disabilities  (MHRWD) she was able to realise her rights and she received a startup grant to buy stock for her shop in Area 12, Kauma. MHRWD receives support from African Women's Development Fund (AWDF).
