Mary Wambui, 37, is a hairdresser and sexworker based in Nariobi, Kenya. Through her sexwork she was able raise funds and open her own hair salon in Kasarani neighbourhood in March 2021. Training support from the Kenya Sexworkers Alliance (KESWA) enabled Wambui to gain the neccessary business skills to open her own establishment. KESWA was able to train sexworkers on business skills through support from the African Women's Development Fund (AWDF).
