This is the visual representation of the critical work done by AWDF

and its partners in the first decade of its existence. AWDF in the past ten years has

created innovative spaces such as the regional and national feminist forums, we

have expanded the participation of African women in existing spaces including the

International Aids Conference and the Commission on the Status of Women, and we

have forged spaces where none previously existed such as the African Women in

Film Forum. These spaces have provided a means of harnessing the collective voices

and agency of African women and enabled us to set our own agenda for change on a

national, regional and international basis.
