On 7 of October 2010, the African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) convened a

meeting in Johannesburg bringing together women's organisations from across Southern

Africa The occasion also marked the launch of the fund's Southern Africa sub-regional

office. For 10 years, AWDF has been providing grants, critical information, institutional and

technical support to women's right organisations in Africa.
