The AWDF has awarded over $US 16,500,000.00 in grants in the last 10 years. Some key achievements from 2010 included the launch of the African Women's Leadership Network for Reproductive Health and Family Plannning (AWLN), improved grant tracking systems, and the establishment of an internship program which aims to help younger people gain experience in the field of women's activism and funding.
